It finally happened! This month I officially graduated from a very long six years of university and now get to put 'Dr' in front of my name.

I've now been working up on Thursday Island for over 3 months- and what a few months I've had!
I'm struggling to find the words to describe how life has been in recent weeks, as it's been wonderful but also a lot harder than expected in many aspects.

I know I run the risk of sounding like an absolute broken record, but seriously guys, can you believe just how quickly this year is flying by?
I've been quite busy in recent weeks, and have tended towards feeling a bit overwhelmed and off-track with my goals for the year. In view of us being so close to halfway through 2019(!!), I thought it would be a good idea to review my progress with all the goals I spoke about in January (if you missed that post, you can find it here).

As most of you will already be aware (and completely sick of hearing about!), I've recently spent 7 whole weeks traveling and studying in India having the most incredible, life changing experiences. But you know what?
There's one aspect of the trip that has been weighing on my mind, and I can't help but feel a bit deflated every time it occurs to me.

Can we all just breathe a big collective sigh of relief? My first three Monthly Moments for the year all started off exactly the same way (I AM SO BUSY) but finally, finally things have slowed down a bit!

Hi guys!
I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted a thrift haul! I actually haven't been having the best luck at the thrift stores recently when it comes to clothing, but I've unexpectedly been having a whole heap of luck in the book sections.

Hi guys!
Happy first of April! I'm starting onto my new rotation on the first of the month, which feels like quite a nice opportunity for a fresh start. After a whirlwind first 3 months of the year (it's a quarter gone already?! HOW) I'm very much excited to settle for a bit and get some good routines going!

Hi guys!
Let's just move past the assumption that I've done the whole 'ohh I'm so ~busy~' thing and get to it shall we?

Hi guys!
I'm so excited to share the first instalment of my India Adventures with you! I've been in India for a whole three and a half weeks already, and it continues to surprise, impress and entertain me every day.

Hi guys!
OK, I definitely called it. Remember last month when I said I had the feeling that this year was going to keep flying by at a hectic pace? Boy, was I right! February has more than lived up to those expectations.

Hi guys!
Well, after all the time I spent telling you what a huge December I had, January was obviously feeling a bit left out and has seriously done it's best to outdo it. This month has been so flippin busy! Just looking over all the things I've been up to as I type this explains why I feel like I need a nice big glass of wine and a two-day nap. I have a lot of moments to get through, so without any further ado, let's get in to it.

Hey guys! Here we are at the start of another year ready for another set of new goals and opportunities!
If I'm honest, I'm not really buying into the whole 'new year, new me' thing as I'm actually quite happy how I am at the moment, thank you very much! All jokes aside, I was quite proud that I was able to set some realistic goals (which I think is more than half of the struggle) and actually achieve them last year. However, going into 2019 knowing that I will have a lot more time on my side this year, I hope to 'level up' in several aspects of my life. Always striving to better your best and all that!

This is a post that's been in the works for a long old while, as I wrote it back in August last year whilst on my paediatrics rotation but then completely forgot to polish and post it with all the rush of final exams that caught up with me very quickly. I hope you'll forgive me for posting it now that I finally have time to edit it! This was my very first week of the new rotation so it was my first opportunity to get my head around all things kid-related! Let's take a look at what a typical week was like on the paediatrics team.
