England Adventures | Newcastle

Friday 3 February 2017
Hi guys! I'm finally back with the second installment of my England Adventures! My Christmas and New Year was spent visiting my Dad's home town of Newcastle and exploring the surrounding area, and I have to say I absolutely adored it! It was probably my favourite part of our whole holiday, with plenty of time for exploring as well as snuggling up by the fire and hanging out with my family. Here's a few snapshots of what we got up to!

Lindisfarne Priory, Holy Island

Hadrian's Wall
As a huge history fan, visiting Hadrian's Wall was a big highlight for me! However, I think we picked the windiest day of the year as I was almost getting blown over the whole time we were there! It meant we couldn't stay and explore as much as I would have liked but I'll definitely have to go back again sometime!
Frosty Morning in Corbridge
New country!
I finally went to Scotland! Granted, we only popped across the border for all of half an hour, but I stood in front of the sign so that counts right? Can you tell that we were quite literally freezing to death while taking this photo?

Newcastle Quayside
Running Free
Another of my favourite days was when we visited Bamburgh Castle and Beach. It was one of those stunning sunny-but-frosty days which gave us wonderful views. I must say that as an Australian, it felt very strange to be walking on the beach in shoes... I wasn't about to take them off though!

Exploring!
There's just a little peek at the things we got up to in the Newcastle area! What did you guys do for Christmas? Did you go somewhere new in the holidays?
Sending happiness and light to you all!
