My To-Read List

Sunday 16 October 2016

Hi guys! I'm currently 3 short weeks out from exams and therefore don't exactly have the time to be reading as much as I'd like to (or at all!) In times like these I like to keep track of all the books that I hear about by making a list of all the ones I need to get my hands on as soon as time allows! I thought I'd share a few of the titles that are on my list at the moment, which I will definitely be looking out for once exams are through!

The Girl On The Train-Paula Hawkins. This is one of those books that I've seen around and heard about so many times and never picked up for some reason! I think this was mainly because I didn't really know what it was about, but I read a review of it on Instagram the other day and I'm now really interested in giving it a go! Psychological thrillers aren't normally my type of books, but you've gotta branch out sometime right?

Milk and Honey- Rupi Kaur. I found out about this book when it was mentioned by the lovely Sara in one of her recent book hauls -I wanted to get my hands on all of the books she mentioned, but this one sounded particularly intriguing! The poetry style is outside of the things I usually read but I'd be very keen to give it a go!

When We Collided- Emery Lord. Apart from having the most gorgeous cover you've ever seen, it sounds so good! From what I've heard it deals with issues such as grief and bipolar disorder very well, which I'm definitely interested in reading more about!

A Study In Charlotte- Brittany Cavallaro. Anything to do with Sherlock I just have to read-something to keep me entertained until the next episode eventually comes out perhaps?! Goodreads reviews on this one are quite variable so I'd be very interested to see how a YA take of an old classic plays out!

Have you guys read any of these? What else should I have on this list?

  1. I can definitely relate to not having that much time to read because of exams. I hope you'll be able to check out all the books on your list soon though :) I've read all of the books you've mentioned apart from the last one. I'm pretty sure you'll love them! Another book I can recomment is I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson, I liked that one A LOT. Also, thank you so much for mentioning my post xx

  2. I'm with Sara- I'll Give You The Sun is amazing!!!

Milk and Honey is an absolute MUST READ.

In terms of by Emery Lord, her 'The Start of Me and You' is my all time favourite book- but all of her books are gorgeous and in a similar style!

  3. My TBR list is only growing. I have so many books to read, but I just can't find the time or motivation to read them. I've read a couple of poems from Milk and Honey, and I like it so far! It's my first every poetry book, but it is so worth the purchase. A book I can recommend is The Wrath and the Dawn dulogy. I finished it last month and it's honestly one of the best books I've ever read. I have spoiler free reviews on it on my blog if you're interested :)
